It’s getting to that time of year where the cool air of your home becomes something you long for as soon as you step outside. 1. If Your A/C System is Not Working
We know, this seems really obvious, but let’s get the most obvious sign out of the way right off the bat. It’s really simple; if your air conditioner is not working (aka there is no cool air coming out of the vents when your system is running) then it’s time for a new air conditioner. Sure, a repair can help your system last a little longer, but when it isn’t working again two months later in the middle of September you might be wishing that you had it replaced the first time.
2. Your Energy Bill is Unusually High
This one might also seem pretty obvious, but it’s actually pretty common for people to not realize that their increased energy bill might be a sign of a faulty air conditioner. Let’s say your energy bill is usually $100 each month in the summer. Now, when you open your energy bill for the month of June you have a slight heart attack when you see that your bill skyrocketed to $200.
